How to fill them in
- On the tender, press Open bill. The Calculation boxes are at the top.
- Factor: the correction factor of your tender, often 0.973 in DUSIB. It is copied from the Schedule page the first time you open the bill.
- Correction applies: choose On the total or On each item, the way your department does it.
- Cost index %: the cost index printed in your tender papers.
- Quoted %: the percentage from your award letter, and Above or below.
Things to know
- The Factor must be above 0 and up to 2. Percentages must be from 0 to 100. You can type commas, they are left out.
- If a box is empty or wrong, it turns red, and every sheet shows one line asking you to fix it instead of a wrong figure.
- On the total corrects the total of the main items once. On each item corrects every rate and prints the corrected rate on each line, like 405.45 x 0.973 under it. The two can differ by a few paise because of rounding, so follow your department.
- MKT and Recovery items are at par: no factor and no cost index.
How it is worked out
The bill follows one chain. Each amount is rounded to the paisa, and the Work Outlay to the whole rupee:
For Main items of 10,00,000, a factor of 0.973 on the total, a cost index of 5%, MKT items of 20,000, a Recovery item of 5,000 and a quote of 3.89% below:
| Step | Working | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Main items | DSR, Appd. and NS | 10,00,000.00 |
| Applying correction of 0.973 | 10,00,000 x 0.973 | 9,73,000.00 |
| Applying cost index of 5% | 9,73,000 x 5% | 48,650.00 |
| Corrected DSR total | 10,21,650.00 | |
| Plus MKT, less Recovery, at par | 20,000 less 5,000 | 10,36,650.00 |
| Less 3.89% below | 10,36,650 x 3.89% | 40,325.69 |
| Work Outlay | rounded to the rupee | 9,96,324 |
With On each item, a rate of 405.45 becomes 405.45 x 0.973 = 394.50, and each line is worked out at that rate.
